The PU synchronous belt is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which has the characteristics of high strength, high elongation, high elasticity, excellent wear resistance, oil resistance, low temperature resistance, and aging resistance. But in some extreme environmental conditions, it can affect the normal service life. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the synchronous belt, it is necessary to do a good job of storage, so that the synchronous belt has a longer service life.
So how to store the synchronous belt?
1. Avoid heavy pressure
It is necessary to ensure that the synchronous belt is not subjected to any form of pressure during storage, as prolonged pressure can cause deformation or tension rope breakage. If the synchronous belt has been installed on mechanical equipment and is not used for a long time, it is recommended to relax the tension to avoid deformation of the synchronous belt caused by excessive pressure, which will affect the normal transmission of the equipment in the future.
2. Environmental temperature
During the storage process of synchronous belts, there are requirements for the storage environment. Generally, the temperature needs to be stable between -15~40 degrees Celsius and the humidity needs to be maintained within the range of 50%~80%. The storage environment needs to meet the above mentioned requirements to ensure the normal use of synchronous belts.
3. Avoid aging
During storage, synchronous belts should be kept away from direct sunlight, rain, and snow as much as possible. It is also important to avoid contact with acidic or alkaline substances, which may cause aging or even damage to the synchronous belt. These factors can affect the normal service life of the synchronous belt.
